APPLICANTS ACROSS ASIA & AFRICA
Plan your study abroad application from your home country
Your nationality, country of residence and country of education can each affect the documents you need. Start with these details, then compare universities and the destination's official instructions.
Three country details to keep separate
- Nationality: the passport you will use. Scholarship nationality restrictions and some government rules refer to this.
- Residence: where you currently live and your status there. Check which application location or visa office applies to your circumstances.
- Education: where your qualification was awarded. Universities assess your qualification and grading system, not just your current address.
Do not infer eligibility from a continent label. Requirements for applicants in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya or South Africa can differ, and individual circumstances also matter.

Record tuition in its original currency and academic year. Separate a yearly fee from a whole-course fee and include accommodation, insurance, travel and required application charges. Use a dated exchange rate for a personal budget, and keep the original amount alongside the conversion.
Compare courses side by sideFind funding you can actually apply for
Check each award's nationality and residence conditions, accepted courses, fee status and deadline. An award for one country must not be presented as available to all Asian or African applicants. Check whether nomination, a separate application or an offer of admission is required.
Read scholarship eligibility and official award linksBuild your document plan
Compare the university's country-specific entry requirements with your exact certificate, transcript and grades. Ask about translation and certification before ordering them. Check the English evidence accepted for the particular programme; an abbreviation or a general test score is not enough to confirm eligibility.

Use the destination government's rules for the route you are considering. University admission does not establish eligibility for permanent residence or citizenship. Our migration pages link to official authorities and provide public information, not individual legal advice or representation.
