A conversation about you

Your first counselling session is a chance to explain what you want from your education. You may already have a university in mind, or you may need help deciding where to begin. Bring your questions, concerns and priorities; the conversation starts there.

GST Overseas offers free consultancy and profile assessment. The aim is to build an understandable plan that you can review with your family before making commitments.

What to bring

  • Your most recent academic results and details of previous qualifications.
  • A short summary of work experience, interests and career goals.
  • Your intended start date and any deadlines you already know about.
  • A realistic budget range and an idea of who will fund your studies.
  • Questions about courses, universities, accommodation or the application process.

Compare your options

A strong shortlist considers more than a university name. We help you compare programme modules, entry criteria, duration, location, tuition and the kind of learning experience you want. We can also discuss whether a pathway, undergraduate degree, taught postgraduate course or research route suits your background.

If you have not settled on a subject, begin with the skills you enjoy using and the careers you want to explore. A course title alone rarely tells you enough.

From shortlist to application

Once you have chosen suitable options, we help you organise the application requirements, supporting documents and written material. Keep a personal record of submissions and deadlines. You should understand and approve everything submitted in your name.

GST’s existing services include SOP support and interview preparation. Your statements and answers must reflect your own education, experience and plans.

After an offer arrives

Read the offer carefully before accepting. Review outstanding conditions, the total cost, payment deadlines and refund terms. Response times vary by institution, programme and intake, so your plan should allow time for follow-up and further documents.

Use payment instructions verified directly with the university. Keep receipts and copies of the final offer documents.

Your next conversation

You do not need to decide everything in one meeting. Leave with a shortlist of actions, documents to collect and questions to resolve. Contact our team to arrange an appointment and tell us your preferred way to communicate.

Study counselling, clear expectations

University fees, deposits, travel and other third-party costs are separate from free counselling. Ask for any applicable service charges to be explained before agreeing to them.
