01 / THE NEXT STEP

Know your own application

Read the programme page, your application and your statement before the interview. Be ready to explain how your previous study or experience relates to the subject, why you selected the institution and what you hope to learn.

Questions to practise

  • Why have you chosen this programme and study destination?
  • Which modules or learning opportunities are relevant to your plans?
  • What has prepared you for the academic demands of the course?
  • How have you planned for tuition, accommodation and everyday expenses?
  • What would you like to ask the interviewer about the programme?
03 / THE NEXT STEP

Use examples, not a script

A short example from your studies, work or an independent project is more useful than a memorised claim. Practise answering follow-up questions and admitting when you need clarification. The goal is to communicate your genuine plans, not to predict every question.

Prepare for the format

For an online interview, test your connection, microphone and camera. Confirm the time zone, choose a quiet place and keep permitted documents nearby. For an in-person meeting, plan your route and arrival time.

GST can help you practise and identify areas that need a clearer explanation. The interviewer or relevant authority makes the decision.
