WESTERN AUSTRALIA · CONSTRUCTION
Construction Visa Subsidy Program
Support of up to AUD 10,000
The WA programme helps eligible construction employers and skilled migrants offset migration-related costs. Eligible costs can include visa, authorised migration-representative and relocation costs. It is financial assistance, not a visa or a guarantee of employment.
Who receives the support?
The employer-sponsored stream is claimed by the eligible employer. The state-nominated migrant stream has separate worker eligibility and milestone rules. Do not assume every construction worker personally receives AUD 10,000.
What to check
- Identify the correct employer-sponsored or state-nominated stream.
- Check the current eligible occupation, visa, WA employment and programme conditions.
- Gather the required visa, employment, payment and milestone evidence.
- Use the official milestone application; later payments depend on satisfying the relevant conditions.
The July 2025 terms set out the stream-specific payment rules. WA announced additional programme funding for 2026–27. Confirm current allocation and terms before incurring costs.
